Thanks to the sponsorship of the Cape Leopard Trust we were able to take 20 children from the Lavender Hill community to a weekend camp in the Cederberg mountains. The kids had an exciting and educational experience. We had the amazing opportunity to learn hands on about nature, the Cape Leopards, astronomy, animal tracks, and rock art. We also learned how to set up a tent, use a bucket shower, and cook over a camp fire. The children enjoyed hiking, swimming, roasting marshmallows , and sharing stories around the camp fire until late into the night. It was an amazing experience for us all!
Africa Sinomusa Foundation in collaboration with Life Community Welfare has been hosting these annual Christmas Parties since 2002 and since then up to 2011, we have managed to host Christmas parties and brought smiles to +- 8950 children around Cape Town and the Eastern Cape with the help of our funders and friends of the Africa Sinomusa Foundation.
All these years the City Of Cape Town has been of great help with the venue to host these memorable and joyful parties. The events have been of great success to the extent that the kids continue to talk fondly of them even though it’s almost a year later.
Africa Sinomusa Foundation is a Non Profit Organisation which aims to make a difference in the lives of children through programmes that are aimed at developing the welfare of needy children. The children are between the age group 1-15 and are from the Langa and Elsies River communities.
Some of these children have suffered immensely from poverty and abuse, and our objective is to give them an unforgettable experience and create a sense of self-worth at this special time of the year.
The programme will include performances from Pre-schools, Sunday schools, local schools and community groups.
I therefore humbly invite your company/organisation/group to partner with us by sponsoring this event and making this meaningful project a success, and the best it can be for every child that will be attending. We are aiming to spend R80 per child which will cover a meal, goody pack and a gift for the day. Below is the need request list and breakdown.
This event will capture the spirit of Christmas and showcase the success of partnership between the communities, government departments, corporate companies, small businesses, the public and the media.
Help us to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children this Christmas. As a small token of our gratitude for your assistance we will place your logos and website links on our new sponsors page and related blog coverage of the event.
Thanking you in advance.
